Giants vs. Rockies

The two wild card contenders, the San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies played a 3 game series at Coors Field this weekend.
In the first game, Giants sent out Matt Cain to be the starting pitcher, and for the Rockies, they sent out right-hander, Jason Hammel who they acquired for the Tampa Bay Rays in early April. Cain pitched a no-hitter through 5 innings of work. The first hit came off of third baseman, Ian Stewart. Unfortunately, the Rockies lost to the Giants, 3-1.

In game two of the three game series, the Giants sent Jonathan Sanchez to the mound and Jorge De La Rosa for the Rockies.  That night was a big night for Rockies shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki. He was 3- for - 4 with a HR, 2B, 1B and a pop-out. He drove in 5 Rockies during Saturday nights game. The Rockies won, 8-2.

Rockies roll past Padres

The Colorado Rockies took on the San Diego Padres Monday night.

In the second inning, there was a scoreless game,  until Rockies shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki, hit an RBI double to bring home right fielder, Brad Hawpe (who  suffered a neck contusion in the week before.)

In the sixth inning, the bases were loaded for Rockies catcher, Chris Iannetta. The score was 6-5, Padres, until Iannetta hit the Rockies first grand-slam of the season and Iannetta's 4th home run of the season.

The final score was Rockies, 9, Padres, 6.

Broncos lose to Panthers, Chargers beat Cheifs

Sunday afternoon, the Broncos scored first and then the Panthers came back and won 30-10.  This was a sad day for the Broncos after Jay Cutler was sacked twice and had a INT and threw awful! It reminded me of Brian Gresie! And that the Chargers beat the Cheifs 22-21 with 1:14 minutes left. Philip River threw another hissy fit of his while yelling at the reff. for the 20th time this year. (What a baby!)  Next week the Broncos host the Bills and the Buc's host the Chargers!

Broncos beat Kansas City, 24-17

Well, it looks like the Broncos finally won against the Chiefs this year.  In week 4 of the season, the Broncos traveled to K.C. to battle the Chiefs. The Broncos were 3-0, the Chiefs were 0-3.

Everybody in the whole NFL thought that Denver would win, but the Chiefs upset them 33-19. With Jay Cutler, 6, throwing INT's right and left, you could tell, it wasn't a good day for the Broncos.

But until now! The Broncos won Sunday afternoon 24-17. With running back, Peyton Hillis, number 22, came in with a touchdown, but soon later got injured for him to leave the game.

The Broncos battle the 10-3,Carolina Panthers next Sunday, and the Chiefs battle the 5-8, San Diego Chargers.

Broncos upset Jets, 34-17!

Yesterday afternoon was one of the biggest upsets this NFL season where the Denver Broncos beat the New York Jets.

Everybody chose the Jets to win this game, but NOPE! The Broncos snuck away with the win! A major win in fact! You would guess the final score would be 60-7, Jets.

This was probably the best game the Broncos have played this year.  Their defense is normally awful and giving up points right and left. With Champ Bailey expecting to come back next week against Kansas City at Invesco Field. If the Broncos defense and offense keep playing like they did yesterday, we can expect them in the playoffs.

Eddie Royal, #19 WR, is one of the Broncos best WR's and also one of Jay Cutler's favorites. It seems like Royal NEVER misses the football when Cutler throws it to him.

As I said in my last blog, Jay Cutler needs to prove himself. He has! Yesterday, Cutler was the best I've ever seen him play in his 3 years of playing.   He looked like a young Brett Favre out on the field.  Jay is starting to prove to us that he will be the next great quarterback of the Broncos. ❤

Thank you for reading this blog, and GO BRONCOS!

Football

We all know the Broncos lost horribly against the Oakland Raiders Sunday afternoon. This Sunday, Jay Cutler and the Denver Broncos battle Brett Favre and the New York Jets. This will be the toughest game this year for the Broncos, but amazing things  do happen.

You all might say Jay Cutler has gotten "Cocky" as by saying he is the next John Elway. But, the thing people don't realize is that Jay is on medication for his Diabetes that might have made him loopy in that interview. Jay Cutler needs to prove to the NFL that he is going to be the next John Elway of our time. He might not be as good as the Manning brothers or Favre, but he will be pretty good. He has a few years to prove to us that he can be like Elway.

Thanks for reading!
